Michele’s referential vision also extends to the label’s “Guccy” line and its Not/Fake wares, which positively play on the public’s persistent efforts to acquire the iconic double-G logo by any means necessary. This move, in an industry so bent on limiting consumer access to fake merchandise, was truly revolutionary. 

Since it was first brandished in the ’30s, the Gucci logo has been reiterated, imitated, flipped, and switched every which way—and still, some 90 years later, the emblem remains one of the most recognizable, desirable stamps in the world.
